Fitness Classes Returning to the Gym Starting Nov 21, 2025
We're thrilled to announce that the gym is reopening this week, as repairs to the roof and floor have finally been completed!
Starting this Friday, November 21, many of the fitness classes will be moving to the gym.

FALL 2025 SESSION

CLASSES RUN: September 8 to December 22, 2025.

PRICING per class for the entire session: Yoga $85 ~ Gentle Fit $50 ~ All other classes $65.
NEW LOCATION: Given the limited daytime permits available at Armour Heights CC, we obtained a small number of permits for classes at North Toronto Memorial Community Centre, located at 200 Eglinton Avenue West. North Toronto MCC has a large indoor parking lot with an onsite attendant and charges a very reasonable $1.00 per hour for parking up to three hours.
We are offering the following classes at North Toronto MCC (marked “N” on the schedule):
Yoga Fundamentals, Tuesdays, 10:45 am
Strong Bones, Tuesdays, 12:00 pm
Tai Chi, Tuesdays, 2:00 pm
Essentrics, Wednesdays, 11:30 am

UNREGISTERED PARTICIPANTS
We recently discovered that a number of individuals are attending fitness classes for which they did not successfully register.
If your TeamSnap receipt does not show your placement in a class, you are not registered for it. Instructions to view your receipt are available on this link: https://helpme.teamsnap.com/article/514-print-a-registration-receipt
Unfortunately we were compelled to offer fewer places than usual for Fall 2024 because we lost the use of the Gym (owing to ongoing repair work) and received lower priority for space than the Children’s & Tiny Tots’ Committee (owing to City policy). We regret these circumstances but have zero tolerance for unregistered participants because overcrowding can create a safety concern.
Accordingly, we are asking our instructors to take attendance and prohibit anyone who is not legitimately on the class list from staying for the class. Individuals who disregard this rule and try to attend classes for which they are not registered may be banned by the Committee from taking future fitness classes in order to maintain a safe environment and ensure the well-being of registered participants.

GYM CLASSES CANCELLED
Due to significant water leaks from the roof, all Gym classes will be cancelled until further notice.
Classes downstairs will run as usual.
The City is working to determine the extent of damage and next steps.
Some classes will be assigned to other rooms, and these classes will be notified of the changes by email.
